The Angels Penitent, scions of Sanguinius and heirs to his sorrow, are a Codex-compliant Chapter born of the 9th Founding Blood Angels. But once, before penance became their creed and the Undying Martyr cast his long shadow, they bore a name whispered with reverence—the Angels Resplendent.

While other Chapters bathed in blood for glory, for zealotry, or for the joy of death, the Resplendent stood apart. They made nobility their warcry, their armor a blaze of crimson and gold amid the void’s cold silence. Alone among their blood-stained kin, they knew not the howling curse of the Black Rage. No brother had fallen to the madness. They were untouched.
